Save the Family Institute - About Us

"Family is the foundation of human civilization, the weight of the entire society rests on the family."

Our Philosophy

One of the Family’s most vital functions is to instill the value of human life. Value is not being instilled because family has no value. The expansion of the family is not being driven by the conscious desire to create it. The seed from which we come is not identified as family prior to conception. If intent were required for procreation most American families would become extinct.

To restore the family’s value, the interest of the family must be placed above the interest of the individual. One way to reach this critical plateau is for the family to share a vision of itself. Sharing a vision creates the collective identity that the family needs to unify. Unified by a common vision and guided by moral principles, the family can restore and maintain its value of life.

Our Work

Save the Family Institute Inc., is a Georgia nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that does family research and development. STFI collects and analyzes data on American families to determine the family’s fitness in the areas of health, unity, identity, history, organization and spirituality. Our focus is the extended family, all of the nuclear families combined. We believe that a unified extended family creates the best environment for human growth and development.

Our History

STFI was founded in 1997 as Save the Family Foundation Inc., to help families compile their history, organize leadership, and to adopt standing traditions. In 2002 Save the Family Foundation was granted nonprofit status by the IRS. In 2004 the name of the organization was changed to Save the Family Institute.

Testimonial

“After forty years of researching my Salter family history, I was able with the valuable assistance of Save the Family Institute trace my ancestry back to my gggrandfather Hardy Salter, born 1790 in North Carolina. I would like to thank STFI personally for all your help.  The verbal information you provided and the materials have been very helpful.  We are looking forward to working with your organization in the future.”
