About the Founder

CHARLES WILLIAMS

Charles Williams is a native of Western North Carolina. He is an author, philosopher, entrepreneur, and father of six children. He became interested in family advocacy in 1993, after his son and daughter were convicted of crimes and sentenced to time in prison. Viewing their imprisonment as his own personal failure, he began an extensive self-examination. The goal was to understand what it really means to be a father. This quest for truth lasted four years and involved thousands of people. It led to the establishment of Save the Family Institute (STFI), a Georgia nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that does family research and development. STFI collects and analyzes data on American families to determine the family’s fitness in the areas of health, unity, identity, history, organization and spirituality. Our focus is the extended family, all of the bloodline nuclear families combined. We believe that a unified extended family creates the best environment for human growth and development. STFI provides a platform for family advocacy to all sober minded people who love the family, regardless of their race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, culture, and politics.
